Providing customized employee assistance programs to our member organizations, we strive to exceed the expectations of the people and organizations we serve. We do not offer a standard, pre-packaged approach to EAP. Rather, we work collaboratively with Management to assess and serve the specific needs of each organization we assist. Based in the Mid-west, AEAS has grown from a small local EA Provider, to a solid organization of core staff, affiliates and resources to meet your organization's needs.
Our Employee Assistance Counselors are Master's level, credentialed staff who have specialized training and experience to provide Employee Assistance Services. We understand that the Employee Assistance needs of organizations are not limited to mental health counseling. AEAS' EAP counselors have training and experience in a variety of areas to effectively address personal as well as workplace issues. Specialized services include:
- EAP- assessment, short-term counseling and referral services. EAP counselors take a holistic approach to assessment of employee's issues, understanding that often personal issues may have an effect on an employee's work performance. EAP counselors work with the employee as well as their supervisor to clarify performance expectations and help the employee meet those expectations, in situations where work performance issues have become a problem.
- SAP- chemical abuse/ dependency specialization with appropriate training and experience in alcohol and other drug abuse services. Staff are qualified to provide SAP assessments in accordance with DOT regulations, as well as voluntary AODA assessments for employees who are not subject to DOT regulations.
- CISM- ICISF or similar training enable staff to respond effectively to work place crisis/ critical incidents.
- Management Consultation- Master's preparation in Administration with experience in organizational development and management coaching, enable staff to assist managers in dealing with work performance issues as well as development of the work place's culture.
Assistance in policy development, implementation and training are available. - Conflict Resolution/ Mediation- assessment, and facilitation of workplace conflict resolution. EAP staff possesses extended skills in mediation and conflict resolution to assist employees and managers in constructive conflict management.
